WHO IS ELLE TAYLOR?

Strumming the guitar on the front porch to her cat, writing quick little bits to songs, crying on her living room floor because the words just had to come out onto paper and onto the strings of her old classical.  Elle's song writing style is nothing if not authentic.

In 2021, the indie artist and songwriter released "Taken Me A While," a folk album that tells a story of love lost and self-found.

Elle just released her second music album "See the Sun" which was recorded at BFE Studios in Girard PA by Brian Gloskey with the help of local musicians and technicians.  The album was mixed/mastered by Joe Funderburk at Nashville's Dragon Stone Recording. You can check it out on whatever music streaming site you use.

Elle Taylor has a band who plays with her consistently.

Nick Warren- electric guitar, bass

Peter Hohman- bass, electric guitar

Dave Tamulonis- violin, keyboard

Eric Sandberg- drums/percussion

You can catch them in Erie, PA or the region having a blast on stage.

For Elle, music is personal. Often, she's able to move past traumatic/dramatic moments and life phases once they've been captured in song. She is open about her mental health and how music is a coping skill for her.  Tracks are poetic re-imaginings of life experiences and stories brought to life by herself and other local artists. "I've always been a writer since I was a little kid.  Teaching myself to play guitar was my ticket to fully express my words.  I love music but I don't consider myself a very skilled musician.  I am a writer, first and foremost: a song writer."  she explained. Elle goes on to express her gratitude for the musicians she has gotten the privilege to work besides.  "Without my band my songs would not have the layered depth that I can hear in my head but cannot create physically.  For that, I am so grateful for my bandmates and all the talented artists who have chosen to work with me, who saw potential in me, who have helped me grow."

Elle hopes her music sparks something in her listeners, whether that be healing, pain, gratitude, love, longing, nostalgia, release, growth, regret, or remorse.  All human emotions are necessary, and music is pointless if it's not evoking something.
